Communication design / illustration
Design is the planning, drafting and structuring of (audio) visually perceptible information. For example, websites, print media, films or spatial design are created. The study objective of the communication design subject is derived from the social function of the designer, to implement certain statements and messages in a media-specific, creative way and to transfer them to target groups. The focus of the course is therefore on the creative solving of problems in the field of communication. Today the designer is a planner, designer and strategist at the same time.
The diverse design tasks in the service of communication in contemporary industrial, consumer and cultural society form the broad spectrum of professional activity. Communication designers work as freelancers or employees in design agencies, advertising agencies, design collectives or media companies (publishers, broadcasters).
