Handlettering introductory course

Together we will delve into the art of beautiful letters over two workshop days. Starting with the basics of typography, a detailed introduction to materials and basics such as the correct use of brush pens and the like, you will begin to rediscover the shapes of upper and lower case letters and develop your own handlettering alphabet step by step. Together we will then develop the first projects in which you can creatively implement what you have learned for the first time. 

Materials you need:

• White paper
• Brush pen (thin), e.g. Tombow Fudenosuke or Pentel Sign Pen
• Brush pen (wide), e.g. Tombow Dual Brush, edding 1340 or ONLINE Calli.Brush
• Fineliner (black), e.g. Staedtler 0.05mm
• Gel pen (white), e.g. uni-ball Signo

You can get the materials from Idee, Boesner or any well-stocked stationery store.

The workshop costs 69 euros and takes place in our studio rooms at Schoderstr. 10 in Stuttgart.
We can be reached from the main station in a few minutes by bus line 44, stop "Am Kriegsbergturm" or
"Helferichstrasse".
Minimum number of participants 5 people.
